Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and implementation of fabrication and assembly processes as new products transition from R&D into production. This role will work closely with design engineers and experienced manufacturing staff to help establish efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes.The position will primarily support products in low-rate production that involve high-precision components and complex assemblies. The engineer will also assist with production setup, process documentation, and continuous improvement efforts for both commercial and military products.This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, tooling development, and production support in a collaborative engineering environment.Preferred Areas Of ExposureCandidates with coursework, internship, or early career experience in some of the following areas are preferred: Assisting with setup of new product assembly linesDesigning or supporting production tooling and fixturesDeveloping or updating assembly work instructionsSupporting production travelers for process tracking and traceabilityBasic knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes such as:CNC machiningSheet metal cutting/formingInjection moldingRotational moldingTube assembly fabricationDesign for Manufacturability (DFM) conceptsGD&T fundamentalsKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and implementing manufacturing and assembly processes for new productsWork with design engineers to help identify critical features and support manufacturable designsReview fabrication and assembly drawings to support manufacturability and tolerance requirementsHelp determine tooling, equipment, and materials needed for manufacturing processesSupport the design and development of production tooling and fixturesCreate and maintain assembly work instructions and process documentationSupport low-volume production builds to verify process performance and identify improvementsAssist with analyzing production workflow, layout, and assembly methods to improve efficiencyIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductionCollaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing issuesPosition RequirementsBS in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldGPA of 3.3 or higherInternship, co-op, or project experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredStrong problem-solving and communication skillsU.S. Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulationsMainstream Engineering Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
