As a Welder, you will play a mission-critical role in keeping our customers up and running! You'll use your expertise, abilities, and problem-solving skills to fabricate and repair equipment to bring positive results for customers while maintaining the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Reading and interpreting blueprints or digital models. Moving steel with a forklift and overhead crane. Cutting material to size using a band saw, cutting torch or grinder. Laying out parts and prepping material for welding. Setting up machines and welding carbon and stainless steels with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes. Welding in all positions. Passing various types of visual and nondestructive inspections on completed work. Following safety regulations and PPE requirements. Maintaining a neat and clean work area. Must supply welding hood and hand tools. Working alone or as a team. Continuous learning of products, applications, technology, market conditions and competitive advantages. Skills and qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED. Desire and ability to work in a fast paced and continuously changing field. Ability to work overtime on short notice. High level communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude towards customer service. Solid basic computer knowledge. Works well independently or with a team. Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment and materials. Ability to work under little supervision. Customer-first attitude. Ability to work outdoors under extreme weather conditions. Adaptable and comfortable with changing environments and protocols, understanding other duties might be required. Preferred: Degree from a Technical or Vocational school in pipe and structural welding. Previous experience in industrial construction or maintenance.
