Superintendent (Full-Time) - Pensacola, FLDays and hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Days and times of work can varyWe are currently seeking candidates who are interested in pursuing a full time career in residential construction. Being a team player and having a good work ethic and attitude are important to succeed in this role. Experience in customer service and strong communication skills also play a critical part since this role requires face-to-face interaction with homeowners and our trade partners. Responsibilities will involve every part of the production process for multiple residential construction projects at one time. Working as a team and communicating effectively with our trade partners to deliver completed homes with a high standard of quality is essential for this role.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop literacy in building code, construction and technical language, construction materials, construction schedules, construction methodologies and standardsPerform day-to-day operations of building homes in high volume neighborhoodsEnsure the new home orientation and punch lists are executed properly, completed and signed off according to DSLD Homes' timeframe Provide management, leadership and support to all subcontractorsSchedule subcontractors as neededInspect subcontractor work to ensure it meets the established quality standardsCheck spec homesMaintain cleanliness of jobsitesAssist with warranty service, when needed, including 30 day review with homeownerResponsible for controlling job costs, construction damage and vandalismJob Requirements & SkillsStrong customer service background and positive attitude are a mustKnowledge of residential construction; Production residential construction experience preferredAssociate's or Bachelor’s Degree requiredPhysical stamina is required because this position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, some climbing or balancing and carryingThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or morePosition is often exposed to various weather conditions (especially heat), loud noise, and vibrationsReliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required.
