1.0 FTE Probationary Special Education Teacher

Salary Dependent upon Experience, Academic Preparation and the ATA Contract Current New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities 5-9 or 7-12 or K-12 Special Education.Must possess additional valid NYS Certification in any one of the following: 7-12 Math, 7-12 Social Studies, 7-12 Science or 7-12 ELA.Experience teaching in 12-1-1 or 15-1-1 or functional academic programs preferred.Ability to continuously collaborate and co-teach with other classroom teachers and therapists. Must have a solid background in differentiation and knowledge of NYS Common Core Learning Standards and NYS Alternate Assessment Frameworks.Will need to be able to write, and measure IEP goals.Have multi-sensory approaches to teaching reading.Use technology, communication, and information systems to support student learning.Willingness to contribute to overall school program.Familiarity with Frontline preferred.REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalApplication RequirementIt is required that all certified candidates attach a PDF or JPG of their scanned certifications or a screenshot of their TEACH account to their application.
