Structural Engineer
Job DescriptionThe Structural Engineer uses engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination and structural design services and models for customers. Specific role responsibilities include:Provides well utilized designs of members and connections for Detailing and Manufacturing that meet customer’s requirements and having a focus on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high performance work teamAssures building’s structural integrity and safetyDevelops own basic product and procedure knowledge and improve technical knowledgeAssures customer design service needs are met by meeting design schedulesCollaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient mannerQualificationsMinimum:Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringPreferred:Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam4+ years of structural engineering experienceResponsibilitiesProvides well utilized designs of members and connections for Detailing and Manufacturing that meet customer’s requirements.Assures building’s structural integrity and safetyDevelops own advanced product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledgeFocuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high performance work teamAssures customer design service needs are met by meeting design schedulesCollaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient mannerProvides technical assistance to customers on specific projects as well as to new entry level DesignersDevelops structural quotes
