This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to products that help the visually impaired safely navigate the world.You’ll gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, from design and prototyping through validation and production support, in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.What You’ll DoYou’ll support the engineering team with both new product development and improvements to existing designs.Assist with mechanical design updates and documentation for existing productsSupport CAD modeling and drawing updates using SolidWorks or similar toolsParticipate in prototype builds and testing activitiesAssist with design verification and validation effortsHelp develop and document basic test procedures and resultsSupport design and manufacturing reviewsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and qualityAssist with troubleshooting and identifying potential design improvementsTake on additional projects that support the engineering teamWhat You’ll GainThis internship is designed to provide real exposure to mechanical engineering in a product-based environment.Hands-on experience with CAD, prototyping, and product developmentExposure to manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability conceptsExperience working cross-functionally with engineering and production teamsMentorship from experienced engineersOpportunity to contribute to active product development and improvementsRequirementsCurrently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldExposure to CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar) through coursework or projectsBasic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentalsExposure to prototyping, testing, or manufacturing concepts is a plusStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsClear communication and documentation skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a teamOrganized, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn
