Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Senior Accountant.Company Overview:This company is a rapidly scaling, private equity-backed organization currently in a significant growth and transformation phase, with expectations to reach approximately $3B in revenue in the near term and a long-term trajectory toward $10BThe company is investing heavily in infrastructure, systems, and talent to support continued expansion, operational scalability, and improved financial processesIt is currently undergoing an enterprise-wide ERP implementation, creating a strong need for leadership to modernize accounting processes and enhance efficiency across the organizationThe environment is fast-paced, build-oriented, and highly visible, offering strong career growth potential for individuals who can drive change and operate as strategic partners to executive leadershipRole Summary:Title: Senior AccountantReports to: Corporate Accounting LeadershipLocation: Houston, TX (Galleria area)Work Arrangement: Fully in-office Potential for 1 day work from homePrimary Focus: Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and analytical review activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentKey Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries, including monthly accruals for U.S. and Canadian operationsPerform and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completenessManage fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking, depreciation, additions, and disposalsPrepare and reconcile corporate credit card activity and related journal entriesReconcile intercompany accounts, including domestic and cross-border transactionsConduct detailed financial analysis and account reviews to identify trends, variances, and discrepanciesEvaluate financial results and underlying transactions using sound accounting judgment and analytical thinkingProactively communicate accounting issues, risks, and process improvement opportunities to managementAllocate consolidated vendor invoices to appropriate departments and cost centersSupport annual external audit activities and provide required documentationAssist with month-end close processes and ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAPContribute to process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting functionIdeal Candidate Profile:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredCPA or CPA-track preferred3+ years of progressive accounting experience requiredPublic company accounting experience strongly preferredCandidates with 2+ years of public accounting experience will also be consideredStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large volumes of dataExperience working within tight deadlines and structured reporting environmentsStrong analytical and forward-thinking mindset with the ability to identify issues and provide solutionsNaturally curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions to gain deeper understandingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with multi-currency accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions is a plusERP experience preferred; Sage MAS 500 experience is a plusHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ownership mentalityCompensation & Benefits:Target Base Compensation: $85k–$100kAnnual 10% target Bonus OpportunityFull-time, in-office work environmentOpportunity to join a stable and growing organizationInterview process moving quickly for qualified candidatesSelling PointsOpportunity to join a highly visible accounting team supporting U.S. and Canadian operationsExposure to complex accounting areas including multi-currency accounting, consolidations, fixed assets, and intercompany transactionsIdeal environment for accountants who enjoy analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvementFast-paced setting that values accountability, ownership, and professional growthStrong opportunity to develop technical accounting and financial reporting expertiseCollaborative team environment with direct exposure to accounting leadershipExcellent fit for candidates coming from public accounting or public company environments seeking broader operational accounting experienceConvenient Galleria-area location with an engaged, in-office cultureSE #510804697
