Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Solaris serves multiple U.S. end markets, including energy, data centers, and other commercial and industrial sectors.About the OpportunityThe Corporate Accountant will be responsible for managing multiple workstreams within the corporate team, including but not limited to leases, debt, and insurance programs. The accountant will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, with exposure to both Solaris Power Solutions (SPS) and Solaris Logistics Solutions (SLS) segments. Key responsibilities include ownership of certain aspects of the monthly-close cycle, analysis of SG&A results, and contributions to the Company's audits and SEC filings.Essential FunctionsMaintain Master Lease Schedules for Corporate, SPS, and SLS operating and finance leases. Prepare lease journal entries and related account reconciliations monthly.Assess new leases for ASC 842 reporting requirements, creating new schedules and maintaining lease documentation as necessary.Perform quarterly lease controls and prepare lease accounting schedules for the company's 10-Q/Ks.Prepare debt journal entries and related account reconciliations monthly. Prepare debt and interest schedules used in the consolidated financial statements.Act as lead Accounting contact for the company's insurance programs, creating prepaid insurance and insurance financing schedules, calculating accruals, and coordinating insurance audit requests.Own other key areas of the monthly-close cycle, such as payroll, stock-based compensation, and shared services journal entries and account reconciliations.Analyze SG&A results, providing commentary on month-over-month and budget vs. actuals variances.Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes as the Company rapidly grows.Provide audit requests to external auditors, internal auditors, and other auditors as necessary.Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the Accounting Department.Experience/EducationBachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA preferred3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experienceDemonstrated technical competence with GAAP required; prior experience in monthly-close cycles preferredHighly analytical and inquisitiveStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsIntermediate level or higher with Microsoft Excel required; SAP experience a plusMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship for employment visa statusKey Skills and QualificationsExceptional communicator – direct and transparent, skilled problem-solver with proven success in building coalitions and avoiding conflictsTotal ownership mentality – proactively identifies and removes obstacles across numerous ongoing tasksIndependent thinker – provides original thoughts and constantly asking how can we do this betterInnovative thinker – willingness to consider novel solutions and ability to adapt to changeDesirable teammate – impeccable character, humility, and collaborativeRelentless – aspires to contribute and achieve his/her full potentialOur CREATORS CultureAt Solaris, we believe that staying true to our core beliefs improves our decision-making, productivity and is key to our individual and collective achievements.
