Project Controls Scheduler
Job Summary
Lead Scheduler controls activities for a large program of moderate complexity that span functions, organizations, & geographic regions. Oversee and hold accountable team members to deliver program objectives. Coach and mentor team members on project controls functions (and unexperienced project managers as required). Creation of project controls processes as necessary. Resolve issues on projects with significant challenges (schedule/cost/risk). Interface with customer as needed to address questions and fulfill contractual reporting requirements.
Partner with the Program Manager and other project leaders to set strategy and to capture growth opportunities that advance strategic and business objectives.
Must have advanced skills in scheduling utilizing Primavera EPPM (P6), Deltek Acumen Fuse / Risk leadership, communication, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Coordinate required tasks/deadlines. Escalate issues, early warning or potential opportunities to the appropriate levels of management with a sense of urgency. Proactive decision maker that works closely with the project manager and the project team/stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and implement value-added improvement opportunities which will improve overall project performance. Create and administer lessons learned throughout the program.
Initiate and plan all controls aspects of a project, which includes, but is not limited to project baselines and risk registers. Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that inefficiencies are reduced, and overall project performance is optimized. Apply schedule, cost, and/or risk analytics (ex. Earned Value) to confirm validity of overall program plan. Analyze needs and plan for unique customer satisfaction and project performance metrics.
Assume overall project/program responsibility of schedule, cost, and/or risk performance. Ensure program sub-projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Oversee cost and schedule adherence and support project team to increase business performance.
Oversight of Project Control program resource assignments to ensure program goals are achieved.
Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with project objectives and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the project result or strategic intent. Provide leadership to train, motivate, and direct project control professionals to resolve issues during project implementation.
Engage and lead schedule, cost, and risk mitigation/recovery efforts to improve critical path as applicable.
Serve as project controls point of contact for internal and external customers in support of the successful program execution through completion.
Align stakeholder (e.g., team, customer, suppliers, etc.) expectations to achieve overall acceptance of Project Controls objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
10 years of project controls experience with increased levels of complexity. 5 years in technical/engineering lead role and 5 years of project controls experience may be considered as equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and solve high-level problems. Proven ability to analyze information and engage in complex decision making.
Mastery of Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) or equivalent Project Management or Project Controls standards (e.g. AACE, etc.).
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBI.
Expert knowledge and skill in project schedule, cost and risk management processes and associated tools (e.g., Primavera/MSP, View Point, Acumen Fuse, PRISM, Power BI/Tableau or other related tools).
Mastery of the transformation of data to information for visual reports and analysis, understand database concepts in order to manage/analyze data within systems, understand the interaction of company functions that are touch points to projects (Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.). Ability to develop and present high-quality, audience-appropriate presentations.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
