Receptionist/Optometric Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support patient care by assisting with eye examinations, managing medical records, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on providing exceptional eye care services. The Optometric Technician will play a vital role in patient intake, data collection, and supporting ophthalmologists and optometrists in delivering comprehensive eye health assessments.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with intake procedures, including pretesting patients, and contact lens training
Prepare patients for eye exams by performing preliminary tests and assessments
Operate diagnostic equipment and assist with testing procedures under supervision
Maintain patient records accurately within our EMR system
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Support clinic staff with administrative tasks at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and managing medical records and referrals
Requirements
Prior experience in medical office settings, ophthalmology clinics, or retail optical environments is preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmic procedures is preferred, however we are willing to help train new employees
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
