Run what runs the world.This position reports to:Quality ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. You will all be responsible for deploying and supporting a Quality Culture within local ABB, by assuring and controlling quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.The work model for the role is Onsite. You will be mainly accountable for:Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.Developing testing procedure for our products as part of the control planPerforming first article inspections on new samples as part of the localization project of new suppliers in North AmericaRunning endurance life tests on our breakersDeveloping standard work instructions on how to run the testsWorking with the team in the laboratoryJob qualifications:Bachelor's degree; electrical or mechanical engineering preferredAbility to work in team3+ years of experience as a quality specialist in a manufacturing settingGreen belt (lean six sigma) certification preferredGreat communication skills and diplomacy to work with suppliersCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USWhat's in it for you:We want you to bring your full self to workyour ideas, your energy, your ambition.
