Backend Java Full Stack Developer

Job Summary Our client, a leading airlines industry provider, is seeking a Backend Java Full Stack Developer to support the team that manages customer communications throughout the travel journey, from booking through the completion of a flight. Notifications are delivered through text, email, Apple/Google Wallet, Live Activities, and other customer-facing channels. Contract DetailsContract type and duration: Contract, 6 months + possibility of extensionsWork location: Tempe, AZ – ONSITE INTERVIEW REQUIRED – local candidates onlyOnsite, hybrid or remote expectations: Hybrid - onsite Tuesday through ThursdayKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, and support backend applications using Java and Spring/Spring BootWork with teams across the organization to deliver customer notification capabilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve issues within a highly visible, business-critical applicationSupport ongoing enhancements and new development as priorities evolveParticipate in an on-call rotation as neededCollaborate with technical teams to maintain reliable, scalable customer-facing servicesRequired Skills/Experience (Must-haves)Strong Java backend development experienceExperience with Spring/Spring Boot and enterprise applicationsFull-stack development experience is preferred, but the primary focus is backend JavaStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsPreferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)Airline industry experienceCustomer notification or messaging platformsExperience with Apple/Google Wallet, iOS Live Activities, or mobile notificationsAndroid/Kotlin or iOS development experienceDatabricks/data lakes experienceAngular is not a significant requirement for this positionWork Environment Location: Tempe, AZOnsite, Hybrid or Remote: HybridCompensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $33.00 and $48.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate.
