Occupational Therapist - School SettingLocation: Cicero, IL 60804Schedule: Monday-Friday, 08:00 AM - 03:30 PM (Day Shift)Hours: 37.5 hours per weekDuration: 42 weeksWork Type: In-person (School-Based Role)Licensure: Active Illinois Occupational Therapist License requiredPosition Summary"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in a school-based environment in Cicero, IL. The OT will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance students' functional independence, academic participation, and overall developmental progress within the school setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy services in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Assess students' motor, sensory, cognitive, and functional performance abilitiesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans to support educational and developmental goalsCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student successDocument evaluations, progress notes, and therapy outcomes in a timely and accurate mannerSupport development of fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory integration, and self-care abilitiesParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendationsEnsure compliance with school policies, state regulations, and federal education guidelinesMonitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as neededMaintain effective communication with all stakeholders regarding student progressQualificationsActive Illinois Occupational Therapist License (required)Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institutionPrior experience in a school-based OT setting requiredStrong understanding of pediatric development and educational therapy practicesExperience working with IEPs and special education services preferredAbility to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary teamStrong communication, documentation, and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and school staffAbility to manage a diverse caseload in a structured school environmentFor more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
