This unique opportunity allows you to make a difference by supporting students in developing essential skills for academic and personal growth.Desired Skills & Experience:Current Occupational Therapist license in IllinoisPrior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferredAbility to assess students' physical, social, and emotional needs affecting their school performanceStrong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and familiesKnowledge of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and the special education processAdaptable and organized, with excellent time management abilitiesResponsibilities:Conduct assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy plan for studentsDeliver direct and consultative therapy services to students as outlined in IEPsDocument progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelinesCollaborate with educators to implement classroom accommodations and modificationsParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendationsEducate school staff and families about occupational therapy strategies to optimize student successThis contract role offers the chance to grow professionally while working in a supportive educational environment.
