Postdoctoral Fellow III - Neurobiology**Galveston, Texas, United States**Training & EducationUTMB HealthRequisition # 2601237**Postdoctoral Fellow Position in HIV and Eradication**Dr. Eliseo Eugenin Laboratory, Department of Neurobiology, UTMB, Galveston.Our laboratory integrates cell biology, neuroscience, metabolomics, immunology, and translational approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets to eradicate viral reservoirs in different cells and tissues including monocyte/macrophages and T cells targeting metabolomics and cell to cell communication.Our research focuses on:· NeuroHIV and viral reservoirs· HIV and substance of use disorder· Cell-to-cell communication role in HIV mediated bystander damage· HIV and comorbidities (neurodegeneration and cardiovascular disease) and aging.· The neuropathogenesis and immunity of BSL3/4 viruses in the brainThis postdoctoral position is in The University of Texas system (UT). UT is committed to fostering the growth of postdoctoral researchers providing the tools to become independent (upon performance). Our university of a leader in infectious diseases including BSL2/3/4 viruses.
