Team members are expected to operate with strong judgment, accountability, and professionalism while supporting complex lift operations.Position Overview This is a Direct Hire Opportunity.As a Rigger II, you will perform intermediate to advanced rigging operations on construction, industrial, and mission-critical job sites. You will support the safe movement of heavy equipment, execute lift plans, and work closely with crane operators and lead riggers.This role requires strong independent decision-making, technical rigging knowledge, and the ability to support and mentor Rigger I personnel while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.Key Responsibilities Perform rigging activities for standard and moderately complex lifts on industrial and data center job sitesInspect slings, rigging hardware, and lifting devices to ensure safety and complianceAssist in lift planning, staging, and execution of critical equipment movesSignal crane and equipment operators using standard hand signals and radio communicationInterpret engineered drawings, lift plans, and load specificationsRecommend appropriate rigging configurations based on load weight and lift requirementsIdentify hazards and stop work immediately when unsafe conditions are presentDocument rigging inspections and maintain required safety recordsProvide guidance and on-the-job support to Rigger I personnelCoordinate with Lead Riggers on complex or critical liftsSupport general material handling and equipment positioning as neededQualifications Required (At Hire): High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of construction, industrial, or commercial rigging experienceNCCCO Rigger Level II certificationNCCCO Signal Person certificationOSHA 30 certificationAbility to meet Non-CDL driver qualification standardsAbility to qualify for forklift operation upon hirePost-Hire Requirements (within 90 days if not already held): Forklift Certification (company provided training)Fall Protection Certification (company provided training)Non-CDL Driver Qualification (company provided training)Required Skills & Experience: Strong understanding of rigging calculations, sling angles, and load dynamicsAbility to read and execute lift plans and engineered drawingsProficiency in standard hand signals and radio communication protocolsStrong hazard recognition and safety-first decision-makingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExperience supporting or mentoring entry-level riggers preferredPhysical Demands Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy rigging equipment and materials (often 50–75+ lbs)Work outdoors and in industrial environments under varying weather conditionsStand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods during shiftsWork near heavy machinery, cranes, and active construction operationsMaintain full attention to safety-critical environments and active lift zonesAbility to work at heights or in elevated rigging environments as requiredINDHPowered by JazzHR
