Lifeguard Position Age - 15 and olderPrerequisitesA Deep/Shallow Water Lifeguard must be Red Cross Lifeguard Certified and able to:To swim 300 yardsSurface dive into 7 to 10 feet of water to retrieve a 10-pound objectTread water for 2 minutes using only legsReports ToAquatics Center SupervisorPosition TypeA variety of positions are available including: Part-Time, Seasonal and Year Round.DescriptionMaintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facilityAble to act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergencyProvides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical servicesPresents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer serviceAttends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduledMaintains a clean facility performing house cleaning dutiesAll other duties as assigned and appropriateQualifications15 years of age and olderAbility to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasmAbility to positively interact with co-workers and the general publicPunctual, responsible and self-motivatedRed Cross Lifeguard Certification* (required)Schedule and LocationShifts vary Monday through Sunday at the New Prague Aquatic Center's indoor facility.TrainingLifeguard and WSI training is available multiple times each year at the New Prague Aquatic Center.
