The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their communities. As the Talent Acquisition Assistant, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Talent Acquisition team. The Talent Acquisition Assistant will be the first contact for all candidates and will provide exceptional customer service within all aspects of the recruitment process. You will coordinate the background check and reference check process for new hires and support with scheduling, expense reporting, managing email inboxes, answering phone inquires, and coordinating all pre-employment activities for newly hired employees. This position participates in Talent Acquisition activities related to Hiring Fairs, recruitment activities, and new hire onboarding days. You will maintain the organization of all shared files and applicant information in all digital systems. The position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years administrative experience supporting human resources initiatives or programs. You must have excellent oral and written communications skills as well as strong interpersonal skills as a high-energy team player. The ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities and employee populations in an ever-changing environment is a must.
