Senior Accountant

Financial AnalystThis position is directly responsible for aiding the Controller in accurate and timely financial information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Generate and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders. Prepare and/or review manual and automated journal entries Oversee Fixed Assets Accounting, ensuring accurate recording, tracking and reconciliation Work directly with Controller and upper management on financial projects and ad hoc tasks. Collaborate with External auditors during audit process. Assist in ASC 842 lease accounting maintenance and reporting Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Required: Strong GAAP accounting knowledge Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency Excellent interpersonal skills and communication Strong ability to adapt and willing to take on new projects. Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting required 1-3 years accounting work experience CPA preferred Public Accounting experience preferred Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
