Role SummaryThe Weld Quality Manager develops and oversees quality assurance programs, welding procedures, and inspection processes to ensure compliance with industry codes and regulatory standards. This role supports operational quality initiatives, manages inspections, and ensures consistent welding and manufacturing quality across projects.Quality Programs & ComplianceDevelop and maintain welding quality programs and certification processes.Create and manage welding procedures, qualifications, and non-destructive testing programs.Oversee welder qualification records and documentation.Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.Coordinate with regulatory and accreditation bodies when required.Inspection & Technical SupportConduct welding qualifications, inspections, and training programs.Perform in-process and final weld and dimensional inspections.Maintain accurate and timely quality documentation.Provide technical guidance on welding and code requirements.Address nonconformances and support material review processes.Project Quality & Risk ControlSupport technical reviews to identify and reduce quality risks.Implement project-specific quality plans.Review design and contract documents for quality requirements.Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Supplier & Client CoordinationServe as primary contact for quality-related matters.Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quality programs.Coordinate third-party inspections when needed.Train staff on quality policies, procedures, and standards.Requirements & SkillsWelding inspection certification preferred.Engineering degree or equivalent experience.Knowledge of inspection methods and welding processes.Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing symbols.Basic machining knowledge and strong technical understanding.Proficiency in office and scheduling software.Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.Authorized to work in the U.S. and have a valid driver's license.Work Conditions & CompetenciesAbility to work in industrial environments requiring physical activity.Composure under pressure and strong problem-solving ability.Self-motivated with strong process improvement skills.Effective training and presentation capabilities.J-18808-Ljbffr
