Data Enablement & Governance ManagerLocation: Atlanta, GA or Salt Lake City / Lehi UTSchedule: Hybrid Onsite (3 days per week)About OpportunityThis is a rare chance to step in early and help build something from the ground up.We’re partnering with a growing organization that is investing heavily in modernizing its enterprise data architecture. This role will be the first dedicated data governance hire, playing a critical role in shaping how data is defined, managed, and trusted across the business.You’ll be joining at the start of a high-visibility, multi-million dollar transformation initiative, working alongside internal leaders and external partners to establish the foundation for scalable, data-driven decision making.If you’ve ever wanted to build a governance program the right way from day one, this is it.What You’ll DoStand up and lead foundational data governance capabilities across the enterpriseDevelop and implement a business data glossary and data catalog strategyEvaluate and help select data catalog and governance toolsDefine and enforce data quality rules, standards, and workflowsEstablish governance frameworks, policies, and stewardship modelsPartner cross-functionally with business and technical teams to drive adoptionSupport data literacy efforts across the organizationCollaborate with third-party consulting partners on broader data initiativesTrack and communicate governance progress, risks, and outcomes to leadershipWhat You Bring7+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data managementProven experience building or scaling data governance programsHands-on experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineageFamiliarity with tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similarExperience defining and implementing data quality frameworks and KPIsStrong ability to work across business and technical stakeholdersExperience in regulated environments (healthcare, financial services, etc.) is a plusWhat Makes This Role DifferentFirst hire in data governance with a clear path to build and lead a teamDirect impact on a major enterprise data transformation initiativeOpportunity to influence future-state initiatives like MDM and AI governanceHigh visibility with leadership and strong executive supportA chance to build, not inheritCompensationBase salary + bonus
