Job Details Location: Columbia, SC (zip 29203) — Travel Nurse opportunity / South Carolina nursing job Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 - July 6, 2026) Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,770-$1,870 Unit: Surgical Stepdown / Intermediate Intensive Care (IICU) — telemetry RN / cardiac stepdown nurse Patient Ratio: 1:3 Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel nursing job) Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in ICU, IICU, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown settings (critical care RN / telemetry experience) At least 1 completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers must have 3 years of specialty experience Active South Carolina RN license or compact multistate RN license (no pending licenses accepted) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR (EPIC charting) experience required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Demonstrated competency with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and vasoactive medication management Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with cardiac, trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology diagnoses Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry, including arrhythmia recognition Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol (critical care medication management) Care for ventilated patients and perform ventilator management and medication administration for critically ill adults Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid response and code situations, and implement evidence-based critical care interventions Safely use specialty equipment such as Hercules patient repositioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps Float to other units or campuses as needed based on documented competencies (flexible travel nurse role) Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Document all patient care accurately in EPIC EMR and maintain timely charting Why This Travel Nursing Job?
