Operator/Mechanic IV aka Flexographic Printer Operator (1 opening)Niles, IL 60714Pay Rate: $30/hrDuration: 1 yearGeneral Description of Duties:Operate 1-4 color Flexographic printing pressesPrint and slit Tyvek® and other filmsEnsure that product manufactured meets specifications, on time, and within budgetAssist Printing/Slitting Supervisor in all tasks as requiredPerform preventive maintenance on printing and slitting related equipmentSource and re-stock printed materialsShip and receive products as a back-up for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk (QSD JD 011).Final preparation of finished goods for shipping. Assemble shipping boxes (fold and tape)Close and seal loaded boxes for shippingVerify customer information and affix shipping labelAffix Quality Inspection label on boxWhen appropriate, place loaded boxes on palletsMove boxes to quarantine area to await shipmentOther duties as assigned.Skills and Experience Required:Attention to detailHand eye coordinationAbility to focus for long periods of timeBasic mechanical aptitudeBasic computer skillsEnglish language skills (written and spoken)Able to lift and carry 50.0 lbs. or moreAble to stand 6-8 hours dailyAble to visually recognize colors and particulate as small as 0.8 sq. mm.Successfully complete the following training:HRP 100 Employee Handbook Training.NWB0044-New Employee Training.FL0024-Forklift Certification.LO0026-Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.Education Requirements:High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent1+ year(s) of Flexographic or Offset printing experienceApprenticeship or prior technical training preferredQualifications: Certified by supervisor to be qualified to perform duties of this job
