Job DescriptionTwo Hands (twohandshospitality.com / @twohandsrestaurant) is seeking an experienced kitchen lead to join the team for our restaurant opening in the Factory this fall. This is a full-time position, and open availability is required. Initial training will be in our restaurant in the Gulch.Two Hands Hospitality is a group of community-focused Australian restaurants. At Two Hands, our goal is for our ingredients to come from local farms to support our communities in New York, Texas, Tennessee, and Colorado.WE OFFER:Health insurance available after 3 monthsA 50% employee discount for you and up to four guests on food and drinks when dining outside of work hoursPositive, collaborative work environmentRoom for growth within the companyKEY REQUIREMENTS:One to two years of experience in a similar roleConfidence with training staff and keeping the standard high with the existing team, ensuring that recipes and plating are being followed correctlyGeneral knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and heating and cooling methodsProficiency in standard cooking techniquesAttention to detailConfidence in ability to execute prep recipes, as occasional prep shifts will be requiredAbility to communicate with both BOH and FOH staffAbility to maintain DOH sanitation standards and uphold the cleanliness of the kitchenAdvanced knife skillsOpen availability, particularly on Saturdays and SundaysAbility to work a rotating schedule that includes some evening shifts (usually done by 10 p.m. at latest), as well as some opening shifts (which finish around 4 or 5 p.m.)A positive and customer-centric attitudeAustralian cafe experience or a general curiosity for what we doBeing bilingual is a plusAbility to work/stand for 8-10 hours a day and occasionally carry up to 20 poundsAbility to keep your workspace clean and uphold the standards of the restaurantAdministrative experience is a plus, but not necessaryIf this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
