A striking lobby bar with floor-to-ceiling windows showcases panoramic views of downtown, creating an energizing environment to connect, unwind, and experience Music City.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Line Cook role based at Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown in Nashville, TN. The Line Cook will prepare and cook menu items to brand and recipe standards for hotel outlets, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down stations, executing dishes with consistent quality and portion control, and following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. The Line Cook will collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely service, assist with prep work, manage inventory for assigned stations, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen. This role also supports daily opening and closing duties, communicates effectively with front-of-house team members, and may assist with training new team members as needed.Qualifications Professional cooking abilities, including experience on the line, strong knife skills, and familiarity with various cooking methods and kitchen equipment.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards, with the ability to follow health department and brand guidelines consistently.Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tickets, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean, efficient station during high-volume service.Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with fellow cooks, chefs, and front-of-house team members in a fast-paced environment.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry kitchen supplies as needed, and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Previous line cook or similar kitchen experience in a hotel, restaurant, or banquet setting preferred; culinary training or certification is a plus.Commitment to guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and a positive, professional attitude aligned with Hilton service standards.
