The worker must work the holiday to receive the benefit. If they did not work the holiday, they will not be paid for the holiday.Schedule: We will train the employee on Days for several weeks before them going to one of the midnight shifts. Currently the open shift will possibly be Thursday thru Monday with Tuesday and Wednesday off.11:00 pm to 7:00 am (expected to arrive 15 min. before shift for pass down and shift change which is compensated).Need to be able to work 12 hours when another operator is on PTO or sick. (4 hours before starting shift or 4 after to cover Days or evenings)Job Description:Top 3 must haves:Plant Chiller/Boiler Experience or primary trade that supports same.Managing/logging alarmsh2O testing, experience with cooling towers, soft water, pumps, etc.Years of experience: 2-3 years minimumOverview: The Utility Plant Operator is an entry-level contractor operator with preferably one strong primary trade associated with utility plants. The operator is responsible for the continuous operation, repair, and maintenance of utility plants, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all systems. This role requires maintaining boilers, chillers, water treatment systems, steam systems, valve vaults, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, boiler feedwater pumps, and condensate pumps. The operator follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to properly respond to alarms on both non-validated and GxP s for validated building automation systems across various facilities.Key Responsibilities:Operation and Maintenance:" Boilers/Chillers Ensure boilers/chillers systems are operating efficiently, performing regular inspections, logging, and addressing any issues to maintain and repair for continuous optimal production." Water Treatment Systems: Perform water treatment checks to ensure water quality meets required standards to protect the piping and equipment.Monitoring Systems:" Continuously monitor and notify proper personnel of out-of-spec conditions and alarms in the utility plants, research and development buildings, manufacturing buildings, various distribution warehouses, the fire network, etc.Alarm Response:" Follow SOPs and GXP SOPs to properly respond to alarms on both validated and non-validated building automation systems.Preventive Maintenance:" Using Maximo generated PMs, perform routine preventive maintenance on all plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.Corrective Maintenance:" Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment malfunctions and failures promptly to restore normal operation." Implement corrective actions to address equipment deficiencies and prevent recurrence." Using Maximo, document all corrective maintenance activities, including the nature of the issue, actions taken, and parts used.Troubleshooting:" Diagnose and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.Documentation:" Using GXP, maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and any incidents.Safety Compliance:" Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Team Collaboration:" Work closely with other plant operators and maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations.Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:" Minimum of one strong primary trade related to the Utility Plants." Education: High School diploma, GED, or trade school graduate." Experience: Outside of business 5 years craft experience, inside business 3 years craft experience." Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Heavy computer knowledge, specifically Windows applications applicable to a large building automation system.
