Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,586 per week

LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in New York City, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 34.5 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Required Skills & Experience: -Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. -Post Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. -Physical assessment. -Medication administration. -Wound care & Infection control -IV therapy. -Post-operative care. -Patient education. -Telemetry monitoring. Job Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to: -Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. -Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. -Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. -Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. -Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements. -Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. -Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. -Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. -Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. -Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols. Certifications & Licenses: AHA ACLS (Queens only) AHA BLS New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification Required Education: -Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.
