Plant Engineering Manager

Job Description Deepview Talent Support is supporting a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing operation in the search for a Plant Engineering Manager. This hands-on leader will oversee plant engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations with a strong focus on equipment reliability, process optimization, launch support, and facility performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead plant engineering, maintenance, and facilities functions across the siteDrive equipment uptime, preventive maintenance execution, and overall plant readinessOversee building systems, utilities, grounds, and general facility infrastructureSupport launch readiness activities across production, engineering, controls, materials, quality, and program managementManage engineering changes for both new and existing programsImprove manufacturing processes, tooling, capital planning, and equipment validationLead continuous improvement efforts tied to efficiency, throughput, reliability, and cost performanceManage department staffing, budgets, and resource planningPromote safety, technical discipline, and compliance across engineering and maintenance functionsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field5+ years of management experience in automotive manufacturingStrong background in plant engineering, maintenance leadership, and facility operationsExperience in JIT assembly and/or sequencing environments preferredWorking knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance performance managementFamiliarity with AIAG Core Tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPCExperience with industrial automation including robotics, conveyors, DC fastening systems, and automated equipmentStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAdditional Details:Full-time, on-site role in South Chicago, ILOccasional travel up to 20%Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 + bonus potentialCompany DescriptionDeepview Corp. partners with reputable industrial contractors and manufacturers across Michigan to connect skilled trades professionals with long-term, stable opportunities.
