Engineering Manager

Must-Haves• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering• 5+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams• Hands-on experience with software, firmware, and hardware testing methodologies• Strong background in test planning, execution, validation, and verification processes• Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or similar test management platforms• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, APIs, SNMP)• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field• Professional certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ISTQB Foundation Level Plusses• Master’s degree in a related technical field• Advanced certifications such as ASQ CMQ/OE or ISTQB Advanced Level• Experience with automation testing tools, specifically Selenium with Python• Prior experience managing globally distributed teams Day to DayThis individual will oversee quality engineering efforts across the full product lifecycle, ensuring high standards for both new product development and enhancements to existing solutions. They will collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to drive testing strategy, validate product performance, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. This role also involves leading a team of engineers, guiding technical direction, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities• Lead quality engineering initiatives supporting both new and existing product lines• Define and drive testing strategies, including verification, validation, and regression efforts• Oversee software and firmware testing to ensure product reliability and compliance standards are met• Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers, including hiring, performance management, and development• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives• Implement and enhance quality processes, procedures, and best practices• Conduct root cause analysis on complex issues and lead corrective action efforts• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve customer concerns, audits, and compliance requirements
