Commercial Roofing Service Estimator
Job Description
Salary: Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Commercial Roofing Service Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for evaluating roofing service projects, performing site assessments, interpreting blueprints/specifications, and preparing accurate cost estimates for repair and maintenance work on commercial roofing systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial roofing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.Key Responsibilities:Conduct site visits to assess roof condition, identify issues, and determine scope of service workAnalyze repair needs and develop cost-effective solutions for commercial roof maintenance and service jobsPrepare detailed and accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipmentReview drawings, specifications, and other project documentation as neededCoordinate with service technicians, project managers, and clients to ensure proper scope and pricingPrepare and submit proposals, bids, and contracts in a timely mannerTrack and manage multiple estimates simultaneously with attention to deadlinesMaintain detailed records of all estimates and follow up with clients as neededAssist in building and maintaining relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clientsStay informed on current roofing materials, installation techniques, and industry standardsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required; degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or related field preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, metal, etc.)Strong understanding of service and repair scopes (leak investigations, emergency repairs, preventative maintenance)Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Edge, RoofSnap, or similar), Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and construction documentsStrong communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsValid drivers license with a clean driving recordOSHA certification or safety training preferredWorking Conditions:Combination of office and field work, including roof access for inspectionsTravel to job sites as requiredMust be comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditionsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentivesCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off (PTO), holidays, and personal daysContinuing education and training opportunitiesCareer advancement potential within a growing companySupportive and professional work environment
