Deep hands-on expertise in Java/Spring Boot, Oracle/SQL, and Kafka required with the ability to evaluate and adopt AI/ML capabilities.Role and Responsibilities:Lead design and implementation of high-throughput distributed systems using Java and Spring BootOwn end-to-end technical architecture for cross-team initiatives (provisioning, billing, network, customer/agent facing apps)Architect event-driven systems using Apache Kafka for real-time streaming and integrationEvaluate and integrate AI/ML tools into engineering workflows and developer productivityEstablish engineering standards, lead design reviews, and mentor senior engineersPartner with product and architecture teams to translate business needs into scalable solutionsLead production incident response, root cause analysis, and systemic improvementsHands-on coding as needed to deliver technical and business features.Required Skills:10+ years overall and 8+ years hands-on with Java (11+) and Spring BootDeep Oracle expertise PL/SQL, performance tuning, query optimization, data modelingStrong Kafka experience producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, schema registryProven delivery of large-scale distributed systems in productionRESTful API design, microservices patterns, CI/CD, Docker/KubernetesAI literacy ability to evaluate AI tools and apply them to engineering problemsInfluence-based technical leadership across teamsNice to HaveTelecom, network/mobile provisioning, or billing systems experienceMNO or MVNO experienceAI/ML platforms
