Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Financial Operations Lead - Blockchain - this is a hybrid role in NYC. We're building the future of decentralized finance, and we need a Financial Operations Lead who can scale our financial infrastructure as we grow. You'll be the operational backbone of our finance team, optimizing processes, implementing systems, and ensuring we have the financial clarity needed to make strategic decisions in the fast-moving Web3 space. ResponsibilitiesFinancial Process OptimizationStreamline and automate financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense managementDesign and implement scalable financial workflows that reduce manual effort while increasing accuracyLead the evaluation and implementation of new financial systems and tools to support company growthReporting & AnalysisDevelop and maintain key financial reports, dashboards, and metrics that provide actionable insights into financial performanceEnsure data integrity across all financial reporting systems and processesSupport budgeting and forecasting efforts, tracking performance against key financial metricsOperational ExcellenceIdentify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current financial processes and implement solutionsManage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needsTake ownership of end-to-end financial projects with minimal supervision What We're Looking ForExperience & Skills5+ years in financial operations, finance analyst, or similar role with a focus on operational excellenceStrong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and operational best practicesExperience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP)Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detailWorking StyleHighly analytical and results-driven approach to problem-solvingAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environmentStrong initiative in identifying and solving operational problems before they become issuesComfortable with shifting priorities and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environmentCommunication & LeadershipExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience managing stakeholder relationships across different departmentsAbility to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for various audiences Nice to HavesWeb3/crypto industry experience or genuine interest in decentralized financeExperience at high-growth tech startups, particularly in fintech or SaaSBackground working with blockchain-related financial operations or treasury managementPrevious experience implementing financial systems during periods of rapid scalingFamiliarity with regulatory compliance in the crypto/blockchain spaceAdvanced proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modeling
