As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Data and Automation organization, you will be based in Dallas, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Strongsville-OH or Birmingham. We are seeking a Software / DevOps Engineer with strong experience building containerized applications and automated delivery pipelines in environments that run on Red Hat OpenShift. This role focuses on using and deploying to OpenShift, not administering or supporting the OpenShift platform itself. You will work closely with platform teams while concentrating on application containerization, image creation, and CI/CD pipelines that deploy reliably into enterprise OpenShift environments. The ideal candidate understands how applications run on OpenShift, how to package them correctly, and how to integrate them into secure, automated delivery pipelines. Experience includes:Experience deploying or running applications on Red Hat OpenShiftStrong experience with container image creationStrong experience with Spark, Trino, Airflow, and IcebergProven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesSolid understanding of Kubernetes concepts from an application perspectiveExperience with Git and modern development workflowsExperience with Helm or templated Kubernetes/OpenShift deploymentsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsPNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance.
