We are building a best-in-class content engine to support the next chapter of the company’s growth!What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking a strategic, people-first Director of Content Strategy to build and lead Clearly Filtered’s content engine. This high-impact leadership role will shape the strategic narrative, creative direction, and systems that drive brand authority, customer trust, and measurable growth. The Director of Content Strategy will own the end-to-end content ecosystem, from strategy through execution, ensuring content supports customer acquisition, conversion, and long-term brand trust as Clearly Filtered scales.As the creative and content leader, you will oversee the Creative and Social teams while managing external partners including agencies, creators, and production partners. This role plays a critical part in helping Clearly Filtered evolve from a strong brand into a category-defining leader through intentional storytelling and world-class creative execution.**This role is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Candidates should only apply if they are able to work onsite at least 3 days per week.**What You’ll DoRevenue-Driven Content StrategyOwn the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy directly aligned to revenue targets and organizational growth goalsEstablish a unified content architecture that supports brand storytelling, demandgeneration, retention, and community growthBuild a structured creative testing framework in partnership with Growth to systematically improve CAC and MERTranslate annual revenue objectives into a measurable content roadmap tied to acquisition, retention, and product expansionEstablish performance benchmarks for content across paid media, PDPs, lifecycle, and organic channelsCreative Direction & Brand StewardshipLead the creative vision across video, photography, UGC, copy, packaging design, and motionServe as a steward of the Clearly Filtered brand, evolving guidelines, voice, and visual standards as the company scalesChampion storytelling grounded in customer insight and the science behind Clearly Filtered’s technologyEnsure brand messaging and claims meet regulatory, legal, and compliance standardsProduct GTM & Cross-Functional CollaborationLead content strategy for product launches from concept through post-launch optimizationPartner with Product, Ecommerce, Growth, and Customer Service teams to align content with conversion goals and customer needsOversee development of launch campaigns, PDP content, and educational product storytellingEnsure launch content meets predefined performance benchmarks Customer Insights & Feedback LoopPartner with Customer Service to deeply understand customer questions, productconfusion points, and sentiment trends, and educational gapsTranslate customer feedback, support insights, and NPS data into stronger content and messagingBuild feedback loops that continuously inform content creation, optimization, and testingDevelop educational content that reduces customer friction and strengthens product understandingPerformance, Testing & OptimizationPartner with Growth to improve creative performance across paid channels including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and GoogleImplement structured creative testing to improve CTR, CVR, MER, and subscriber growthTurn campaign insights into repeatable creative playbooks and stronger future strategyTeam Leadership & External Resource ManagementLead and develop the Creative and Social teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovationManage agencies, creators, freelancers, and production partners with clear expectations and budget disciplineDefine the company’s approach to AI-assisted content creation and responsible creative adoptionBuild the team structure and operating systems needed to support content at scale as the Company approaches $100M+ in revenueWho You AreA strategic thinker who connects creative storytelling with measurable business outcomesA leader who builds strong teams and invites healthy debate while maintaining accountabilityComfortable operating in fast-growing environments where ownership, adaptability, and decisiveness matterWhat You Bring8+ years of experience in content strategy, creative leadership, brand marketing, or related rolesExperience in product subscription, CPG, or high-growth consumer brandsProven experience building, mentoring, and scaling teams, including managing performance, developing talent, and establishing clear accountabilityStrong understanding of performance marketing and the role content plays in profitable growthStrong creative instincts paired with analytical thinking and comfort using data to guide decisionsWhat We OfferCollaborative team setting with a family-friendly feelWork/Life Balance with 9am to 4pm working hours (yes, really)Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance benefits401(k) retirement plans with company match10 annual Company Paid HolidaysBi-weekly company-paid car washesCompensation Range$170,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually depending on experience, education, and qualifications.Clearly Filtered is an equal opportunity employer.
