System Operator I or II

Job DescriptionBasic ResponsibilitiesWorks with the operation of the District's transmission and distribution system ensuring delivery of continuous, reliable, efficient, and safe electrical power to all District customers in coordination with other Northwest Utilities. Ensures operations meet NERC and WECC reliability standards. Receives direction from the Energy Control General Foreman and reports to the Energy Control Superintendent.Minimum QualificationsEducation/Experience:System Operator I ($83.89 Hourly)· Successful completion of the District's System Operator Apprenticeship Program.OR· Three (3) years System Operator experience at an Electric UtilitySystem Operator II ($98.58 Hourly)· Successful completion of the District's System Operator Apprenticeship ProgramOR· Five (5) years System Operator experience at an Electric UtilityLicense/Certification:· CPR and First Aid Card.· Must obtain NERC Transmission Operator Certification within twelve (12) months of hire date as a System Operator I.· Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the NERC Transmission Operator Certification within the twelve (12) month period.Preferred Experience:Distribution Experience PreferredBenefitsIn addition to a competitive compensation program, Snohomish County PUD #1 offers a comprehensive benefits package.
