Assistant Physical Therapy AideJoin a dedicated rehabilitation team in the Midwest region, supporting Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists by providing timely and effective assistance. This role involves maintaining and cleaning therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as obtaining insurance authorizations, scheduling patients, managing inventory, and handling documentation including scanning and faxing.A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates with an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree in a health-related field are preferred.At least one year of full-time experience as a Level I aide or equivalent is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and data entry is advantageous.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred; if not currently held, it must be obtained within six months of employment. Strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor are essential for excellent patient and visitor interactions. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment, monitoring patient safety during therapy, and promptly reporting any concerns to therapists. This position offers a part-time schedule with weekend availability on an as-needed basis.
