Aide Clinical Assistant (UCA) - Surgery Unit, CNA PreferredMadison, MN $32,099 - $41,099 a yearJob Type: Full TimeJob Summary: Support nursing practice and patient care delivery through a blend of direct care, communication, and clerical duties in a surgical unit setting during night shifts.Essential Responsibilities:Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently manage supplies and equipment, complete tasks promptly, adhere to shift schedules, and support unit goals to reduce waste.Quality: Participate in documentation per unit standards, stay current with policies, problem-solve, multitask within scope, and suggest improvements to enhance unit flow and patient experience.Patient Satisfaction: Promote positive patient interactions, respond promptly to needs, maintain professionalism with electronic device use, and conduct purposeful patient rounding.Patient Safety: Practice safe patient mobilization, use two patient identifiers for all tasks, report unusual occurrences, adjust care routines as assigned, and comply with HIPAA and social media policies.Professional Growth: Share knowledge with colleagues, demonstrate leadership, participate in council activities, serve as a resource and preceptor, identify learning needs, and engage in departmental goal development.Customer Service: Engage patients and families respectfully, maintain a quiet and professional environment, be flexible with assignments and staffing, practice AIDET communication, foster teamwork, and provide holistic care to diverse populations.Education and Experience Required:High school diploma or GED required.CNA license with 5+ years of experience accepted in lieu of diploma or GED.Basic BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.Work Shift: Third shift, approximately 30 hours weekly.This role is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
