At ServisFirst, Our Name is Our Mission.Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe Merchant Services Director is responsible for developing business relationships with clients; promoting business for the Bank by providing exceptional quality customer service; and assisting in achieving established Bank goals through active participation in sales management as well as providing leadership, training and support to less experienced bank personnel. The Merchant Services Director will serve as a subject matter expert in support of a full range of services offered to clients.The Incumbent WillEstablish and provide training and service programs to orient clients in the operation and maintenance of Merchant Service productsDemonstrate services and products to prospects, when appropriate, through personal meetings or as part of a coordinated, multi-product sales presentationServe as liaison between current and potential clients and the Bank to resolve questions regarding Merchant Service products and servicesAttend sales meetings and contribute as appropriateKeep abreast of changes which might affect sales or operations Maintain account records, prepare sales call reports and ensure the accuracy of agreementsInitiate client relationships and also accompany relationship sales officer/manager on selling missionsSecure and renew orders, arrange delivery dates and coordinate order fulfillment of other Merchant Service productsMaintain contact with and service key accountsPromote satisfactory client relations via follow-up and check-in calls Work closely with bank personnel to ensure prompt service to clientsProvide field technical services to clients in compliance with service contract requirementsProvide banking solutions to clients by cross-selling appropriate productsAssist in preparation of proposals for new and existing contractsResponsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies Note: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified associates/applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field.Three (3) years customer service experience required.Three (3) years Banking or credit card experience required.Comprehensive knowledge of merchant services products and services with the ability to cross sell applicable products.Basic knowledge of related federal and state banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies.Knowledge of basic accounting.Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to analyze and interpret various financial data. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (grammar, positive tone, etiquette, confidence and listening skills).Must be self-motivated and disciplined.Excellent organizational and time management skills, as demonstrated in previous position meeting multiple objectives and deadlinesAttention to detail, as demonstrated in previous experience preparing data and checking for accuracy prior to submission. Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with officers and employees on all levels.Physical Requirements And Environmental ConditionsThe physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of:Sustained standing and sittingFrequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor Occasional presentations requiring public speaking to small groupsOccasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbsTravel in and out of state approximately 20% of the timeNormal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noiseEOE/AA
