POSITION: PROFESSIONALCIVIL ENGINEERSTATUS: Full TimeSTARTING PAY: Salarycommensurate with experience level.HOURS: Monday through Thursday, nine-hour days, and Friday, four-hour day; Additional hours may be requiredbased on project needsLOCATION: Baton Rouge, LouisianaProfessional CivilEngineer in the Transportation Engineering Division; focused on continuing careeras a technical expert and/or project manager for Road Projects. This is anideal opportunity for someone who can meet the challenges defined by ourclients and continuously develop himself or herself on a career level.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS:• BSDegree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum. Advanced degree a plus• Registrationas a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Louisiana• Minimumof 5 years of qualifying experience after licensure as a Professional Engineer• Strongbackground in advanced computer software• Experiencewith LADOTD, or similar agency, requirements and standards pertaining toroadway and bridge projects• Knowledgeand understanding of applicable design codes and clients standards• Abilityto interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical ordiagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables• Roaddesign experiences with Louisiana DOTD preferred• Designexperiences with storm water drainage and HEC RAS preferred• Experiencewith Microstation, preferred• Experiencewith Inroads, preferredTYPICAL DUTIES:Dutiesinclude, but are not limited to providing engineering and technical supportwithin the Transportation Department through services such as projectdevelopment, detailed project design, calculation and proposal development,opinion of cost, and technical engineering and inspection for a variety of roadprojects.
