Job Title: Oncology Infusion RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM - Noon Hours per Shift: 8 hours (Friday typically concludes early) Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience License: Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Chemo infusion experience preferred Description: We are seeking an Oncology Infusion RN to join our busy chemotherapy infusion unit. This position is for days, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Fridays from 7:00 AM to Noon. Flexibility with hours based on patient schedules is important. Responsibilities include: Assessing patients before IV treatments. Accessing ports or peripheral IV access for lab draws and IV therapies. Administering chemotherapy and other IV infusions while operating equipment and monitoring patients during treatment. Administering prescribed intravenous medications as well as oral pre-treatment medications. Monitoring and responding to side effects or reactions, treating appropriately per protocols. Experience with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) is a plus.
