We aim to create an environment where providers feel supported professionally while maintaining autonomy in clinical decision-making.Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physician Assistant to join our outpatient psychiatry team.This position is intended to transition into a full-time long-term role within the practice. The position will begin with an initial onboarding phase of approximately 20 hours per week for the first 3 months, followed by transition into a full-time salaried position with benefits as schedule volume increases.The ideal candidate is clinically strong, collaborative, detail-oriented, and interested in long-term growth within an expanding psychiatry practice.This is an in-person position located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.ResponsibilitiesConduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments for children, adolescents, and adultsDevelop individualized treatment plans, including medication managementCollaborate with the supervising/collaborating physician and clinical teamMaintain timely and accurate documentation within the EHRCoordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, schools, and families when appropriatePractice in accordance with HIPAA requirements and professional psychiatric standardsQualificationsCurrent Physician Assistant license in Michigan requiredActive DEA license requiredPrior psychiatry or behavioral health experience strongly preferredCAQ in Psychiatry preferred, but not requiredStrong clinical judgment and communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environmentCommitment to thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric careCompensation and BenefitsInitial Part-Time PhaseApproximately 20 hours per weekHourly compensation: $60 to $67 per hour depending on experienceFull-Time TransitionExpected transition to full-time salaried position after approximately 3 months as schedule volume increasesAnticipated salary equivalent: approximately $125,000 to $139,000 annually depending on experience and scheduleBenefits eligibility upon transition to full-time statusAdditional benefits may include:Paid time offHealth insurance contributionCME allowanceProtected administrative/documentation time built into scheduleNo call responsibilitiesNo inpatient responsibilitiesHow to ApplyPlease submit:Resume/CVBrief cover letter describing your psychiatry experience, interest in the position, and current availability
