.NET Developer – Long-Term Public Sector Contract
Location: Oklahoma, mostly remote
Contract Rate: $40–$55 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer for a long-term public-sector technology project in Oklahoma. This is a 40-hour-per-week contract position performed primarily remotely, although occasional on-site work or meetings in the Oklahoma area may be required.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting reliable applications using Microsoft technologies. Experience working with government agencies, regulated environments, or large enterprise systems is beneficial.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET and C#
Develop and support web applications, APIs, integrations, and backend services
Work with SQL databases, including writing queries and troubleshooting data-related issues
Analyze technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions
Troubleshoot application defects and production issues
Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment activities
Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, and public-sector stakeholders
Follow established security, accessibility, documentation, and change-management requirements
Maintain clear technical documentation for applications and system changes
Provide status updates and communicate risks or technical concerns to the project team
Required Qualifications
Professional software development experience using C# and the .NET platform
Experience with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API, or similar Microsoft technologies
Experience working with relational databases and SQL
Knowledge of REST APIs, system integrations, and application architecture
Familiarity with Git or another source-control system
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a mostly remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be located in Oklahoma or within reasonable travel distance for occasional on-site work
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting state, local, or federal government projects
Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform
Familiarity with JavaScript or a modern front-end framework
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Understanding of application security and accessibility standards
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
