Business Development (OVC) - Gulf Coast

As a key member of the Business Development Team, this person will focus on developing multi-market business in their given territory, increasing market penetration and revenue with our full OVC valve product offering. We are looking to fill this position with a candidate located in the Gulf Coast region.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a complete understanding of all OVC valve productsMaintain a working knowledge of all relevant customer issues, pricing and billing procedures, and collections status.Remain knowledgeable of company’s products, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.Manage a balanced distribution networkDevelop and maintain lasting industry relationships with current clients and prospectsGrow product acceptability with major market End Users and EP&C companies within a geographical region80/20 Split: 80% of time working on end user acceptance, engineering approvals, AML inclusion, and industrial or mechanical contractor calls. 20% of time calling on suppliers. Required overnight travel within the geographical regionsEnsure quotes and orders are done in a timely manner, meeting deadlines from sales team and customersRemain attuned to market trends and competitor activityMaintain current knowledge and job skills - advising management of any training needsReport on activities, progress, market information, and new ideasIntegrate into local trade organizations and professional associationsAlways project professionalism and promote the company’s established reputation in the marketplace Develop and maintain a personal relationship with customers in the designated position territory Other duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Personal Attributes)Previous technical sales experience selling Industrial Valves and value-added products and services.Demonstrated achievements in salesAbility to develop and nurture long standing relationships3+ years of project management experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills, professional imageStrong organizational and time management skills; able to work in a virtual setting with minimal supervision.Passion for continued improvement and team successPositive professional attitude at all times
