This is a full-time role in Michigan. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in pretreatment equipment.What we offer:Competitive Compensation: Hourly range $28-34 based on experience.Comprehensive Benefits: Medical and Dental Insurance with generous employer contributions, HSA contributions ($1200 family/$800 Individual annually), 401K with company matching, 15 PTO Days/16 Paid Holidays (including extended holiday pay at the end of the year), Company Profit Sharing Bonus (budget projection for 2026, 3-4 weeks of additional pay) and more.Company perks: Company laptop and company vehicle.Engaging Culture: Our caring leadership and managers foster high engagement (4.62/5 Gallup Employee Engagement Q12 score) and we host team and company events.Career Growth: Hands-on training, employee development, and continuing education reimbursement.Duties and Responsibilities for Pretreatment Equipment Technician:Perform scheduled and emergency service on water pretreatment equipment including:Water softeners (single and twin alternating systems)Reverse osmosis (RO) systemsDeionization (DI/EDI) systemsCarbon filtration systemsChemical feed systems and disinfection systemsSchedule preventative maintenanceExecute preventive maintenance programs including:Resin cleaning, replacement, and testingFilter changes (cartridge, bag, and media filtration)RO membrane cleaning, testing, and replacementSystem sanitizations (PAA, chlorine, or approved chemicals)Valve rebuilds and control head programming (Fleck/Clack/NXT2, etc.)Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical/control issuesConduct water quality testing:Conductivity, TDS, chlorine, iron, pH, hardness testingDocument results and determine system performance statusStartup and commissioning of new systems:Equipment installation verificationProgramming controllers and setting regeneration cyclesFlow balancing and performance validationComplete accurate service documentation:Service reports (onsite or same-day completion required)Parts used, labor notes, and system condition reportingMake repair recommendations to customers and salesforce on equipment systemsCommunicate effectively with customers:Explain findings, recommendations, and system conditionCoordinate follow-up service or repair needsMaintain tools, PPE, truck stock, and cleanlinessRequirements:Qualifications for Pretreatment Equipment Technician:Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.Maintain up to date calendar on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Good organizational skills.Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to lift 5075 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistanceFrequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in confined mechanical spacesExtended periods of standing and walking during service callsAbility to climb ladders and work at elevated or tight access locationsExposure to:Chemicals (chlorine, peroxide, acids, sanitizers)Wet environments, drain areas, and mechanical roomsNoise, heat, and cold depending on facility conditionsMust be able to safely handle hoses, media (carbon/resin), tanks, and piping componentsManual dexterity required for valve rebuilds, tubing work, and control wiring adjustmentsAbility to drive company vehicle for extended periods between job sitesUse proper PPE at customer job sites and when handling chemical productsMinimum Requirements:Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Drug ScreeningHigh School or GED Equivalent, Technical Degree or military service preferred.Must be able to communicate in English and ability to read proficiently in EnglishMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Must currently be 18 years of ageOvernight Travel may be requiredParticipate in on-call rotation for emergency service supportExperience:Pretreatment: 3-5 years (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Work Location: On the roadCompensation details: 28-34 Hourly WagePIb80de3fe98ff-31181-40514930RequiredPreferredJob IndustriesOther
