MACHINE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Position : MACHINE REPAIR TECHNICIAN• Client : Automation and Robotics Industry• Location : Novi MI 48375• Duration : 6 Months (may get extent)• Shift : General Shift (Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm)JOB DESCRIPTIONMust have Electrical background SummaryElectrical repair of CNC machines. including repair or replace components on various types of machines such as Mazak, Haas, Toshiba, Fadel, Hitachi, Union, Asquith...etc.Repair of Manual Boring mills, including repair or replace components on various types of machines such as Shibaura, G&L, Toshiba, Wotan...etc.Repair/Replace of controls, drives, motors & mechanical assemblies.Test and make adjustments to verify correct operation.Produce easy to understand inspection reports that include written descriptions.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in WCM (World Class Manufacturing) processes and activities.Plan and perform predictive, preventive and reactive maintenance.Participate in proactive team efforts, share knowledge to achieve departmental and company goals.Repair of facility equipment and or components.Assist with continuous improvement projects.Knowledge & SkillsAbility to work independently with written and verbal direction.Intermediate use of Microsoft Office programs.Good written and verbal communication skills.Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems.Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, electrical schematics & mechanical drawings.Ability to complete JSRA (Job Safety and Risk Assessments)Behavioral CompetenciesEHS (Environmental Health and Safety) rules for work on the factory floorUnsafe actUnsafe conditionProper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) usageLock-out / Tag out processesEmergency plan readinessKey Performance Indicators & MeasuresFinal adjustments and testing resultsOperational validation within OEM specificationsEWO (Emergency Work Order) root cause validationNumber of improvement suggestionsKaizen participation (KAI=change for good=ZEN)Qualifications (Education, Training, Certification, Licenses, Experience)Overall Experience -5 years minimum electrical/mechanical machine tool maintenance experienceDue to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.EducationS. diploma or equivalent.Electrical and mechanical certifications preferred.NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Requirements knowledge
