Project Superintendent

Summary/Objective:
As a Project Superintendent, you will uphold our mission by collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure a safe work environment, deliver high-quality projects on schedule, and achieve fair and reasonable profits.
Essential Functions:
Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact at the job site.
Project Oversight: Make critical field decisions and ensure proper project execution.
Responsibilities Include:

Logistics, Staging & Phasing
Quality Control
Employee staffing levels
Communication: Address field issues and involve Owners, Architects, and Engineers as needed.
Leadership: Oversee safety and quality standards according to Client BIG 5, including:
Safety/SOAR
Core
Procurement/Scheduling
Pre-Install Meetings
Exterior Skin Systems Meetings
Safety Management:
Implement Client safety requirements and work with the Safety Manager.
Conduct pre-planning, Toolbox Talks, and Safety Stand Down Training.
Investigate incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Quality Assurance: Develop and manage project QAQC, including pre-installation meetings and visual inspections.
Coordination: Oversee trade partners, project logistics, and schedule adherence.
Staff Management: Supervise and develop field staff, including Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Field Engineers, and Interns.
Administrative Duties:
Manage timesheets and daily reports.
Handle jobsite equipment.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and ADA requirements.
Document and execute Client punch lists and manage inspections.
Estimating and Preconstruction:
Assist in estimating, scheduling, and preconstruction efforts.
Utilize Procore for daily logs, drawing navigation, and RFI creation.
Competencies:
Leadership: Effectively lead the jobsite team, including Owners, Designers, Client Personnel, and Trade Partners.
Flexibility: Adapt to change and supervise multiple tasks.
Problem Solving: Resolve complex issues with a “Can Do” attitude.
Communication: Build relationships and understand project dynamics.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Develop and supervise field staff, including Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Field Engineers, and Interns.
Assist in the development of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
Work Environment:
Exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, high places, fumes, weather extremes, and occasional toxic chemicals.
Noise levels may be loud.
Physical Demands:
Perform physical tasks such as walking on varied terrain, climbing, bending, and lifting.
Inspect construction activities and manage equipment.
Driving a company vehicle is required.
Travel Required:
Travel to/from multiple job sites and offices; minimal overnight or weekend travel.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 10 years of jobsite supervision experience, including 5+ years as a Superintendent.
Scheduling: Ability to understand and create project schedules, update active schedules, and resolve conflicts.
Coordination: Run effective Trade Partner and OAC meetings.
BIM Technology: Utilize BIM technologies, including BIM Glue and Navisworks.
Safety Certification: OSHA 30 certified.
Track Record: Experience building from the ground up on more than 5 projects.
Construction Knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction means, methods, and documentation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
