Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Brooksville, Florida.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cath Lab TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 04/27/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Apr 27, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience, RCIS or ARRT certification, and a background in a hospital with an open heart surgery program.DetailsCardiac Cath Lab setting within a hospital that includes an open heart surgery programPatient population spans pediatric (ages 1-12), adolescent (ages 13-17), adult (ages 18-69), and geriatric (70+) patientsSpecialized equipment includes PACS computer systems, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and emergency patient care equipment10-hour day shifts13-week contractRequirementsGraduate of an Allied Health Services Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology Invasive ProgramMinimum 2 years of experience as an RCIS or Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in a cardiac cath labCompletion of 500 hours of PCI-certified work in a cardiac cath lab within a hospital with an open heart surgery programRCIS or ARRT certification required; registry-eligible candidates will have 1 year to obtain their registryCurrent Florida license required if applicableBLS and ACLS certification required2 professional references dated within the last 12 monthsSkills checklist dated within the last 12 monthsAdditional InformationTechnologists rotate through three primary roles in the cath lab: Scrub (prepping and draping the patient, assisting the physician with wires, needles, catheters, and medications), Circulate (providing equipment to the scrub tech, managing IV drugs, and attending to patient needs), and Monitor (tracking vital signs, documenting procedures, creating medical records, recording intracardiac/peripheral pressures, and managing interdepartmental communications)Responsible for training staff technologists in cath lab rolesAll RTO requests must be submitted at the time of considerationAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-690469.
