Summer Intern- Marketing

Salary: $12.00-$13.00I. Position PurposeThe Marketing Student Employee supports the marketing team in executing day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives that enhance brand awareness and engagement. This role provides a current student with hands-on experience in marketing by contributing to content creation, social media management, market research, and campaign support. The position is designed to develop practical skills in a professional environment while assisting the team in achieving its communication and marketing objectives.II. Duties And Responsibilities Assist in creating and scheduling content for social media platforms Support the development of marketing materials such as flyers, emails, and presentations Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities Help maintain and update website content Track and report on marketing campaign performance metrics Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives and events Provide general administrative support to the marketing teamIII. Qualifications – Education, Experience, And Skills Must be currently enrolled as a Hocking College student for the Fall semester. Must be a second-year student. Must meet federal requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) Basic knowledge of marketing principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media scheduling platforms is a plus Creative thinker with attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and take initiative Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
