TEACHER - 9 Month (187 Day) ContractQUALIFICATIONS:* Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with proper endorsement(s) for subject area(s)* Meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulationsJOB GOAL:To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible members of societyESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Utilizes and follows the state course of study2. Determines individual and class needs3. Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences4. Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives5. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere6. Exhibits positive human relations skills7. Evaluates the educational program and/or student progress8. Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups9. Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication10.
