CNC Operator & Inventory Coordinator — Stone Fabrication
Elegant Stone & Surfaces — Irving, Texas
Full-time · [$18.00–$25.00/hour, DOE]
About the role
We're a stone fabrication shop looking for a reliable, hands-on operator to run our CNC equipment and manage material inventory day to day. Our engineer handles all programming, nesting, and part layout — you'll be responsible for taking those programs and turning them into finished parts, and for keeping our material organized and accounted for. This is a great fit for someone mechanically inclined who takes pride in clean work and a well-run shop.
What you'll do
Load programs and run CNC saw to cut and process stone slabs
Set up material on the machine, verify placement against the nest, and confirm zero/origin points
Monitor cuts, swap tooling/bits, and watch for issues (chipping, tool wear, water/coolant)
Perform daily and routine machine maintenance (lubrication, water, cleaning, consumables)
Receive incoming slabs and material; inspect for damage and log what arrives
Track and organize inventory — full slabs, remnants, and offcuts — so we always know what's on hand and where it is
Stage material for upcoming jobs and pull remnants when they fit
Keep the shop floor clean, safe, and organized
What we're looking for
Experience running CNC equipment [stone experience a plus, but we'll train the right person]
Willing to train for all parts of the job (including forklift certification)
Comfortable reading job layouts / cut sheets and matching them to physical material
Organized and detail-oriented — inventory accuracy matters here
Mechanically inclined; comfortable with basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Able to safely handle and move heavy material (with equipment/help — [we use A-frames / forklifts / pin racks])
Dependable, on time, and able to work independently once trained
Forklift / equipment experience a plus
Physical requirements
Able to lift up to 80 lbs and stand/move throughout a 8-hour shift
Comfortable working in a shop environment (dust, water, noise — PPE provided)
Schedule & pay
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6am–3pm. Some Saturdays may be required.
[$18–$25/hour depending on experience]
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
